Meeting opened at 5:38 PM
Minutes of November 2006 were reviewed and approved
Administrative Issues
T. Santos – Treasurers Report- Budget was discussed,
S. Lepley’s ad was over budget.
Ceiling on spending was discussed
Ad in newsletter was an option
New Phone – keep old phone and answering machine and
purchase a new mobile phone for use in the building.
Hospitality – Mrs Miller has fund for hospitability,
Evelyn will be receiving it.
Mary Bellagamba has money at the school in petty
cash
Motion was made to accept the treasurer’s report,
motion accepted
Membership
C. Pimentel – Newsletter for reminder of membership
and new business will be sent quarterly
May newsletter will announce the Pot Luck Dinner
New Business
B. Nedderman - Buildings checked once a month,
basements need to be cleaned. Witherbee can be used
for storage if cleaned. A Saturday will be picked.
Sean Brown wants an estimate for replacements for
shingles and windows. Witherbee is on the National
Register. Town wants a dollar figure. Two estimates
will be asked for.
J. M. Cooper of Aquidneck Ave fixed the downspout on
the Paradise School. A Thank you note will be sent.
Programs
One program a quarter will be presented. Evelyn
Ledoux will be setting up the annual meeting. A
discussion concerning a lady who gives talks on
local cemeteries was one possible program. A
summertime picnic on the park grounds was also
discussed.
Saturday, February 3, 2007 at 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM is
designated as cleanup day at the Witherbee School.
Mops, cleaners and rags are needed.
Mary Bellagamba discussed the map case that is setup
in the Paradise School
A grant was discussed for ultra-violet shades for
the windows
Plaques for houses in the town were needed and
Stanley has them.
Steve Lepley – Updated the Town Council in November.
Meeting was adjourned at 7:05 PM.
