W. Miller had nothing to report for the Nominating Committee
 
Theresa Spengler suggested Clair Pimentel for a committee position

Contractor is ready to begin work at the Witherbee School

Golden Rule Days, Kennedy School, Forest Ave. School, two schools who have attended the program. Theresa Santos will discuss further. Rita Wood is working to keep the program alive.

Election of officers - to be continued.

Pot Luck Supper - 2 citations to be presented to Stanley Grossman
Supper to be on May 25, 2006 at the Middletown Senior Center (3:30 to set up)

Council Meeting to honor Stanley Grossman will be held on May 15
June 25th designated as Stanley Grossman Day - Reception at Paradise School with refreshments - Windmill should run on Stanley Grossman Day

Gary Paquette spoke about Geocaching - anyone interested should contact Gary Paquette.

30th Anniversary of the Society will be held with a Johnnycake Festival in the fall.

Steve Lepley reported on the Bird Sanctuary Stone Wall Repair Classes with two masons demonstrating stonewall repair and construction. Stonewall Repair Classes will be held on 2 days with 2 classes each.

The dinner for Lynette Miller was held on April 28th at the Glass Onion.

Insurance Coverage - The Treasurer should be bonded. Coverage for the windmill was discussed.

Durfee land ownership - insurance coverage (town or society?)
More insurance coverage was discussed about the practice of cars parked on the Witherbee School property and the selling of corn on the corner of Valley and Green End Avenue.
